How do I add study period or spare period options to Course Planner?

If your school offers spare periods to students and does not have a specific course code associated with these periods, here's how to add them in Course Planner:

  1. From your Advisor Homepage, click Course Planner.
  2. Under Administrative Tools, click Grade Settings.
  3. Select the edit (pencil) icon for the grade you'd like to add the spare option.
  4. Under Planner Options (beside Maximum Spares), enter the number of total spares allowed and click Submit. Your changes will be saved and you'll return to the Grade Settings page, where you can make updates for other grades if needed.

Note: If your school offers study periods that have course codes, and you'd like the students to request these as they would any other course, please follow the steps to add a new course
