Where can I see which Advisors students have been assigned to?

Assigning students to Advisors in the Career Advisor Management System (CAMS)  provides flexibility for Advisors to view only certain students in reports and student lists.

To quickly check each Advisor's student lists:

  1. From your Advisor Homepage, click View List of All Advisors.
  2. Beside each Advisor's Name, under the Student column, click View List.
  3. A list of students assigned to that Advisor will be generated.


To view or export Advisor assignments for a specific group of students:

  1. From your Advisor Homepage, click Search for Students
  2. Enter the criteria for students who you want to find Advisor assignments for (e.g. Grade 10), or leave blank to generate the full Student List. Click Submit.
  3. From the Student List page, choose Excel Spreadsheet under the Export Data File section and click Export.
  4. Under Additional Fields, ensure the Assigned Advisors option is selected and deselect any options you do not want to appear (Last Name and First Name will always remain selected). Click Export.
  5. Your browser will download an Excel file (.xlsx). Open this file to view the list of students and which Advisor(s) they're assigned to.


Viewing Advisor Assignments in the RRS

Through the Regional Reporting System, you have access to information about the CAMS Advisors at each of your district/region's schools.

To quickly check each Advisor's student lists:

  1. From your Administrator Homepage, click CAMS Account.
  2. Select a School and click Submit.
  3. Beside each Advisor's Name, under the Student column, click View List.
  4. A list of students assigned to that Advisor will be generated.
  5. If you want to reset the Advisor's list, you can do so by clicking the Reset link.


To view or export Advisor assignments for a specific group of students:

  1. From your Administrator Homepage, click Search for Students
  2. Enter the search criteria for students who you want to find Advisor assignments for (e.g. school name or Grade 10), or leave blank to generate the full Student List. Click Submit.
  3. From the Student List page, choose Excel Spreadsheet under the Export Data File section and click Export.
  4. Under Additional Fields, ensure the Assigned Advisors option is selected and deselect any options you do not want to appear (Last Name and First Name will always remain selected). Click Export.
  5. Your browser will download an Excel file (.xlsx). Open this file to view the list of students and which Advisor(s) they're assigned to.
